About

MeshWalks are walking conferences, held mostly outdoors, in motion, yet captured digitally. Each MeshWalk is organized around a theme and brings together a diverse mix of individuals. Sponsors typically cover the costs to keep participation as open as possible, and over the course of the day the MeshWalk will stop by a variety of places and other invited individuals will join up with the MeshWalkers.

MeshWalks were inspired by a long tradition of conversations held outdoors and by the Open Space way of holding events and conferences.

MeshForum was founded in 2004 with the mission of fostering the study of Networks - across disciplines. In 2005 and 2006 MeshForum held 3 day conferences which brought together speakers ranging from Pentagon Experts on Logistics, Professors of Communication, Economists, Investors and Entrepreneurs and many more. Starting in 2006 MeshForum also organized a series of MeshWalks, each on a different theme. Each theme exploring one aspect of Networks and the format itself encouraging networking.
